DatAInfa is pleased to share that our Chief Product & Technology Officer, Shivesh Kumar Singh, recently spoke at the AI Impact Summit Pre-Summit, joining industry leaders and technology experts to discuss the future of AI in India.
During the session, Shivesh shared a perspective that has long shaped DatAInfa’s approach to technology—that meaningful innovation is measured not by how advanced it is, but by how widely it can be adopted and the problems it can solve.
One of the key ideas he presented was what he described as the “UPI Model” for AI.” Just as UPI transformed digital payments by making them accessible to millions, he believes India’s AI journey will truly accelerate when businesses, institutions, and innovators across Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities can adopt AI with the same ease and confidence.
He also spoke about the need to rethink AI infrastructure. Rather than relying exclusively on large, centralized models, Shivesh highlighted the growing importance of Small Language Models (SLMs) and regional data centres that can deliver faster, more cost-effective, and locally relevant AI solutions while addressing data residency and governance requirements.
Another topic close to his heart was talent development. Sharing examples from DatAInfa’s internship initiatives, Shivesh spoke about how young professionals from smaller cities are already building practical AI solutions for real business and community challenges. His message was simple: exceptional talent exists everywhere—it only needs the right platform and mentorship.
Speaking after the event, Shivesh noted that India’s opportunity in AI is unique.
“The next wave of AI adoption won’t come from building bigger models alone. It will come from making AI practical, affordable, and accessible to every business and every region. That’s where India’s real strength lies.”
At DatAInfa, these ideas are not just part of our conversations—they shape the way we build solutions for our customers. From trusted data foundations to enterprise AI adoption, we remain committed to helping organizations embrace technology that delivers measurable business value.
We thank the organizers of the AI Impact Summit Pre-Summit for bringing together leaders who are helping define the next chapter of India’s AI journey.
